Finland is known for its distinctive design. The clean lines, influence from nature and modern aesthetic is part of daily life for Finn's, but the rest of the world is catching on to the impact and value of Finnish design. Many of the top designers in global history emerged from Finland, have been strongly influenced by Scandinavian style, or have commission worked for leading Finnish design brands. Veteran designs Alvar Aalto, Kaj Franck, Maija Isola and Oiva Toikka have been synonymous with the movement, but Finland continues to remain relevant with upcoming designers that bring a new perspective to Finnish design while holding true to the timeless design philosophy.
