  Päivi HarjuhaahtoA designer with a master degree in the arts, Päivi Harjuhaahto is an esteemed designer at Kalevala and has been since she joined the company in 1997. A love for modern trends combined with grand back stories; when you look at Harjuhaahto’s pieces they always offer more than meets the eye. A well-spent youth, she was raised near the sea and her pieces are heavily inspired by their swells. Her Vellamo collection is a prime example of a jewelry collection with a rich background as it was formed to capture the flowing locks of Finnish sea goddess, Ahti. Harjuhaahto’s exuberance for storytelling is combined with her ability to capture an idea and make it into reality, resulting in original and lovely jewelry instillations.
