Kristiina Lassus
Born in Helsinki in 1966, Kristiina Lassus had her fair share of education before she became a renowned FInnish designer. She recieved a Master of Arts (MA) in Design Leadership at the University of Industrial Arts of Helsinki (UIAH) in 1992, later expanding her education to study product development at the Helsinki University of Technology in 1993. She returned to UIAH again to earn her second MA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design in 1995. Now living in Italy, Lassus is well-known for her design contributions to the Italian household-name Alessi, specializing in high-end and clean-lined stainless steel items for the kitchen. Such designs have won her numerous awards, including the esteemed Red Dot Award in both 2008 and 2010.
