Aleksi Perälä

Sometimes a single statement can make a powerful impact and for young designer Aleksi Perälä, his iittala Ote Glassware Collection is poetry through the medium of glass. Borrowing inspiration from famous designers Kaj Franck and Aino Aalto, Perälä created glassware that is extremely usable. A clear statement, his glasses are what everyday objects should strive to be; functional, comfortable, unique and have a lovely elegance. Born in Finland in 1978, Perala has gained considerable Finnish notoriety from working for several Finnish companies like iittala and Nokia and he now runs his own company.
