A high-quality weave, percale has a noticeably tighter weave that allows for a higher thread count which makes the sheets softer to the touch. I prewashed the bedding when it arrived and put it on my bed and it's gorgeous! The only drawback is that it came out of the dryer somewhat wrinkled and I had to iron it. I love the colors and the design which made up for it.

While we just received the set, well wrapped and delivered promptly, less than a week ago. The set came through the requisite pre-use washing well, and we are enjoying it enormously. Wish we could legitimately claim a need for more similar bedding. I guess we shall have to spread the joy among our family as gifts.
