Inspiration for the iittala Nappula Brass Tall Candle Holder came to designer Matti Klenell at the Nuutarjärvi glass museum, where he was drawn to the distinctive design of an interestingly shaped chair. Moved by the unique piece of furniture, Klenell set out to create memorable pieces of his own. Demanding attention, this is the tallest of the two candle holders in the Nappula collection. The sturdy brass has an attractive shiny finish, and a felt bottom rest further stabilizes the piece. You really should get both sizes. They look great together. I didn't know if I wanted the shorter one or the taller one so I got both and glad I did. They work together great. A nice addition to a coffee table or credenza. They're high quality and look more expensive than they are.

Beautiful brass candle holder. Brass wears very well, can be polished with a microfiber if needed. Candleholder has a felt bottom to protect the table. Very stable when used with a taper candle

These beautiful candle holders have an understated style that complements any decor. Nice size and weight. Beautiful finish, too.
How are these candle holders finished? Is there a lacquer coating? My concern is that the coating may peel off eventually. How does one care for these pieces? thanks

These do not have a lacquer finish. You can use brass polish to care for the holders.
