A stripped down version of the Aika mug by Heikko Orvala serves as the canvas for the Graphics series. Graphics is a collection of visual expressions by four international designers, each with their own unique voice. The project aims to bring the most interesting art to the most simple moments, like sipping on morning coffee or afternoon tea. Each comes packaged in a beautiful box for gifting, storing, or re-using. This mug was designed by Boston-based Christopher DeLorenzo, whose philosophy is that everything can be a portal for something. His inspiration for the project was our ability to transform objects found in nature by the touch of our daily lives, bending them to create a new, harmonious world. The result is called "Shaped/Shifted," and like others in the collection, it has a psychedelic, funky feel to it.

Love this mug, and I love Iittala. I also like that FinnStyle carries the entire line of anything Iittala. The mug is sturdy, well made and durable and I am so pleased to have been able to have this mug shipped in a well wrapped set of boxes with environmentally friendly shipping materials.
Pros
A visual masterpiece, holds a good amount of beverage, is well made and able to do time in a dishwasher, microwave and still maintain it's luster.
Cons
I think it is made in China which has such a horrible environmental record, I hope Fiskars makes sure they use a clay that is not laced with chemicals or other additives.

I have been looking for attractive extra large coffee cups for a very long time. These are a beautiful design and a great shape. I love these, and they look amazing with my Marimekko table settings.

I am a bid fan of iittala mugs. and so far this one is the most pleasant. i like black and white because they go with everything but the unique patterns adds so much to it. b&w can be not boring too!
