This cutting board has chic style thanks to its simple, minimalist stripes, but there's more the story; it celebrates the 50 year anniversary of Annika Rimala’s Tasaraita (Even Stripe) pattern. The pattern was first featured on unisex shirts, and half a century later, still serves as a symbol of equality for the Finnish brand Marimekko. The cutting board also features an important technique in its design for storage, as the cut-out in the upper-left corner or leather strap can be used to hang the cutting board while not in use. The base is stamped with "Even stripes for equality since 1968. Tasaraita 50 years Marimekko."
