A stripped down version of the Aika mug by Heikko Orvala serves as the canvas for the Graphics series. Graphics is a collection of visual expressions by four international designers, each with their own unique voice. The project aims to bring the most interesting art to the most simple moments, like sipping on morning coffee or afternoon tea. Each comes packaged in a beautiful box for gifting, storing, or re-using. This mug was designed by Parisian-born artist Ugo Gattoni, whose surreal portraits and landscapes earn him recognition worldwide. He was inspired by the underwater world for this project, specifically the floating composition of sea plants. The result is called "Anemone," and like others in the collection, it has a psychedelic, funky feel to it.

I have a passion for all things Iittala and was sure I had it under control until they released the graphic mug series and I fell hard. The Anemone mug was NOT on my list because I am not a fan of the color green but I took a chance since Finnstyle had it at an amazing price and am so happy I did. It is beautiful, stylish and a wonderful accompaniment to the 2 other mugs I purchased. It is well made and has a lovely weight and finish and from any angle is a pretty art piece to behold. I am very happy with the purchase and hope to be back with Finnstyle to purchase more.

This mug is so beautiful. Love the colors and the design. The price is steep, although I got it on sell, but I know it will last years and still look as good as new.
