Finnish designer and professor Eero Aarnio is best known for his innovations in modern furniture and design, and here he expresses his love for cats through his joyful Kisu collection. Originally designed in 2020 and scaled down in size, the golden mini Kisu is apart of a limited collection in honor of Aarnio's 90th birthday. Cat enthusiasts will be charmed by this adorable feline figure, and it's curved back and upright tail will add a playful touch to any modern interior.
The Kisu collection is inspired by Aarnio's childhood memories at his family apartment in Kallio, where he would play with stray cats that would wander the city streets. Aarnio decided on the name "Kisu" as 'Kisumisu" was a common term of endearment for cats in the Aarnio family. Made of 100% hand-crafted and high quality ceramic, the mini Kisu is plated in a shiny gold color.

Eero Aarnio is the designer of some significant landmark chair designs such as the Ball Chair and Bubble Chair among others in the 1960s. These Kisu items are some of the more playful designs and the gold plated version is an absolute delight to display. It comes beautifully packaged and is a limited edition of 1500. Really adds an elegant touch to any credenza or table. I highly recommend.
