Meaning "beehive" in Finnish, the Marimekko Mehiläispesä Pillow Sham features mother-daughter duo Maija and Kristina Isola's interpretation of these beautiful honey homes. This abstract representation is met with an intricate design of taupe colored, concentric lines, which carry a metallic quality that allows them to shimmer in the light. Slip this sham over your pillow through the discreet slit opening in the back to complete the look with the rest of the Mehiläispesä bedding collection, or create your own combination.About Percale:
A high-quality weave, percale has a noticeably tighter weave that allows for a higher thread count which makes the sheets softer to the touch. Medium in weight, the fabric is matte with no additional sheen or shine but the texture is very smooth and able to resist warping and washes exceptionally well.
Care: Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Iron on warm as needed.
Price is for one pillow sham

I love this duvet and the shams. The fabric is substantial and the items are very well made. Speaking of the fabric, it is glam but clean and a bit earthy at the same time. What do I mean? Well, there are tiny gold fibers in the fabric, nothing too obvious but giving it a slight shimmer. The design itself is simple and organic. I live in Florida and use a lot of sandy and driftwoody colors with pops of watery blues and greens. So this duvet sets the stage by hinting at sand and wood while allowing my colors to have a background that is NOT seashells and palm trees. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

Love these shams!

I chose these shams to lighten up the gray and navy tones on my bed but wanted to add some glam (metallic). These shams did just that! They're not over the top. The metallic is a subtle taupe shimmer and on thick fabric quality. I was able to get 2 pillows in them for fullness. Great product!
