Amazing birch print
May 13, 2016
The colors are very bright, and there is a lot of fabric in one repeat. I have struggled to find a good birch print to use on the wall, but this one fits the bill. It is gorgeous. The only struggle is the length, as it is almost too large to fit on a regular sized wall, but we are going to make it work. It would almost be better on a longer wall, but well worth it.
Pros
amount of fabric, colors and intensity

Beautiful birch scene
June 21, 2015
I love birches and this pattern is one I've wanted for a long time. I don't have the right place for a wall hanging, so I made a full/queen duvet cover out of it. Since the panel is so long, I could use a portion at the top to make 2 matching shams as well. The weight and feel of the fabric is great.
As to the colors - when I look at the fabric next to my monitor, it looks just as lovely and vivid as the photo on the site; but of course, every monitor displays colors differently.

Beautiful image reproduction and color.

Your service was quick and the order was exact. The downside to ordering online was not knowing the weight/hand of the fabric, and it is a little more sheer than I would have preferred. Overall, I love it.
Pros
I'm going to use it as a wall hanging and it is the perfect size.
Cons
I will have to use a reinforcing pellon or fiberfill along with a backing fabric, due to the weight and fabric width.

It is a very nice piece of fabric. Vibrant colors, thick. I wish it came in slightly smaller sizes because it is huge for a wall hanging. Great size for a Queen duvet cover.

Marimekko Kaiku Green

This fabric looks stunning! The colours are fantastic and the qaulity of the fabric was what I consider a high standard. I have mounted this fabric into a wall hanging for my living area and everyone who vists has commented on how amazing it looks. I am happy with the results
Pros
The qaulity of the print and the depth of colour in the print.
Cons
There is nothing I dislike about the print. I think it could be worth having differnt size options of this print as large scale will not appeal to everybody.
I plan to use 2 panels to cover a recessed entertainment center, almost floor to ceiling. Are there white borders on the sides of the print as there are at the top and bottom (@ 4.5")? If yes, what is the width of the side borders?
Note: I still have a Marimekko print (orange sprays similar to peacock tail feathers) from my college years that I have carried around with me for 45 years that I have seen displayed multiple times in pictures, room decors, etc., both in an upright position and turned 90 degrees. A true classic. It now covers the entrance to the laundry so I can again enjoy it every day.

There is 4-1/2" of white space at the top and bottom of the repeat (for a total of 9").
The selvage on the side is approximately 1 3/8" each
How would this look and wear as a padded headboard (6'6" X 4'6") framed within a wooden traditional frame?
1 Answer
Hello,
Here are the dimensions for the fabric repeat:
Measurements: 56" (142 cm) wide
Repeat: 95" (241 cm) or 2.64 yards
I'm not sure how you would like to frame it within the headboard - especially if it is 6'6" wide - since the width of the repeat will not reach across, so it is difficult for me to say how I think it would look. You may want to consult an upholsterer to see what they suggest if you are really interested in making this pattern work.
somewhere I heard you also sold a kit to make this into a wall hanging, but I don't know how to look for that and don't see it linked to this item. Is it true, or would I have to make my own?

We do not sell kits to make wall hangings, however stretcher bars can often be purchased at your nearest art supply store
