Big and bold blossoms in hues of orange, pink, yellow sprawl across this Marimekko fabric. Called Rosarium (Rose Garden), this pattern by Aino-Maija Metsola is the perfect modern floral for home decor or fashion projects. Printed in Finland, the 100% acrylic-coated cotton material will be especially ideal for projects that require a stain-resistant yet flexible material, such as tablecloths and placemats. The protective finish allows it to be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth.

I never bought Marimekko fabric before, but this worked out to fit a long table and make 2 placemats, so I feel like I got a lot out of the 3 yards. And for the tablecloth it’s nice that you only need to sew the short ends.So this pattern works on both large and small scale.1 point short of 5 because, as another reviewer commented, it’s not completely waterproof. Sauces have gotten through, but rarely. For the most part it works against spills. Got it for everyday use which inevitably will involve many spills over time.

Not what I was expecting from an acrylic coated fabric
January 22, 2019
When I ordered this fabric, I was looking for a coated, water proof fabric so when I read "Acrylic-coated cotton fabric, I was thinking that this was the Marimekko coated fabric that I have bought in the past from Marimekko. When I got the fabric, I was quite disappointed to see that it actually didn't have much of a coating on it at all. I don't know what you would call it - it has a rough finish of some sort on it, but I'm not sure if it would be waterproof. Unfortunately, fabric is not returnable, since it is cut from a bolt. I'll use it in some other application at some point, because I have to keep it. Luckily I only purchased one yard

Great tablecloth fabric!

Bought to make an outdoor picnic tablecloth with but may keep it indoors! It’s coated but not in that plastic-y way that I’ve seen in other coated fabrics. I almost wasn’t sure I got the right thing but water does flow off of it. Lovely bright large print pattern on a nice home dec weight cotton. I might be addicted to Marimekko now just wish it weren’t so expensive!
