The handsome Pirkka bench is crafted entirely from solid wood, giving it the feel of furniture of traditional, old-word furniture but with a modern and minimal shape. Birch painted black serves as the frame while the seat and backrest are a contrasting yet cohesive brown-stained pine. Designed in 1955 by Ilmari Tapiovaari, the rounded and tapering contours of the frame are timelessly sleek. Available in three lengths in the same height and width, the benches are versatile and easily combined.
