A master of minimalism, Finnish designer Kristiina Lassus created the Alessi Adagio Stainless Steel Teapot as part of her 2008 Adagio line, inspired by the clean-lined functionality of hotel serving pieces. This sleek and shiny piece is crafted from 100% mirror-polished stainless steel with an 18/10 grade. A square shape with rounded edges adds to the modern look of this timeless piece. Open the lid to a 180° angle with a touch of the lever, and achieve the perfect pour every time with the expertly-angled, non-drip spout. Easily stackable, this piece also has an ergonomic handle and an inward-fitting cover to keep condensation from causing a mess during teatime. Featured in the must-have material for today's kitchen, the Alessi Adagio Stainless Steel Teapot brings the best of simple elegance and performance in an everyday object.

Is it safe for the dishwasher? Does it scratch when you wash it with a normal sponge? How strong is the hinge? How many cups does it hold? Can you put it directly on the burner?
1 Answer
I would recommend a hand wash, with non-abrasive cloth to avoid scratches.
Holds: 30-1/2 oz (90 cl) or 6 cups
The hinge is high quality stainless steel and strong.
This is for serving only - do not put this directly on a burner.
