I was not sure what I would think of these placemats when I ordered them. I thought the pattern might be too busy or too much. They are bold and the colors are very rich. As soon as I got them, I set the table with them putting out my white Lenox dinnerware, simple stainless flatware and wine and water goblets. I used violet colored cloth napkins and I was very pleased with the result. So fun! I invited another couple to dinner and we had a great party. The table settings were a hit. I especially like the acrylic coating so I can just wipe them clean with a damp cloth. I highly recommend them.
