I took a chance on these mats - wasn't sure I would like them because of the fabric content. However they are absolutely beautiful - a bit sparkly but not too much, and a neutral color - and will be useful all year round. Very versatile - used with a tablecloth underneath or as a sort of charger over a placement. I'm not sure yet whether they are big enough to use alone, but I'll try that over the holidays. Very good purchase that will be with me for years.
