Beautiful but (too) costly serving plate

I bought the KIVI platter and serving bowl. Both are gorgeous and practical and I just reviewed the bowl and would give it 10 stars if I could. NOT so with this plate. It is too expensive for what it is - an oversized dinner plate. The regular Kivi dinner plate is $70 LESS than the serving plate and is only 2 inches less in diameter and I do not think this large plate it is worth three times the cost of a dinner plate. Furthermore, I have THREE other patterns of Pentik serving plates and ALL of them are significantly bigger than this one is. (I rotate the plates on a shelf in my kitchen and thought this one would be a wonderful addition, but it sits two inches shorter than the other ones I have!) As lovely as it is, I cannot justify spending so much for an oversized dinner plate, especially when the actual dinner plate, also gorgeous, unique and practical, is only 33.33% the cost of this “serving” plate. (I just did the math.)

To be clear, IF this plate were larger - say 14-15 inches in diameter - I would gladly pay the higher price.

Fantastc for cakes and hors d’oeuvres presentation

A very useful platter. Lovely glaze variations. Has nice weight abd feel.. Deep grey color highlights foods while still adding interest, unlike, say, all-black serveware. Design feels timeless- could be mid-century or contemporary (although motif may date to cave paintings lol)
