I am thrilled to have two Ukkospilvi fabrics by the 82 year old Fujiwo Ishimoto. He has retired from Marimekko after 50 years and returned to Japan. His brush strokes on these fabrics are powerful. It’s exciting feel the thunder clouds. On the pale peach and dark blue fabric the energy is strong and minimal. On the lighter peach and mint linen fabric the brush strokes appear softer because of the gentle colors. The Ukkospilvi placemats are unusual and wonderful. Thank you FinnStyle for making these treasures available.
