Q & A
Marimekko’s Trombi Fabric blows you away with neutral tones and moving design that will have you decorating your entire home with this versatile fabric. Finnish for “tornado,” the casual black brushstrokes quickly move lengthwise across the fabric to mimic the cyclonic movement of a whirlwind. The brushstrokes seem to be pulled along the soft eggshell-hued background as the fabric unfolds. Created by Maija and Kristina Isola in 1984, this simplistic print was created at the height of the minimalist design era.
