Marimekko’s Silkkikuikka Duvet features a tri-colored pattern designed by Maija Isola in 1961. Inspired by the movements of the majestic Great Crested Grebe, this pattern is a reflection of these graceful birds and their watery habitat. Cool-hues and repeating wave-like lines gently suggest themes of water, plumage and flight. Sleep soundly while wrapped in the calming jewel-tones of this soft, 100% cotton percale bedding.
Please Note: Twin bedding fits both twin and twin extra long beds.
(see below for measurements)About Percale:
A high-quality weave, percale has a noticeably tighter weave that allows for a higher thread count which makes the sheets softer to the touch. Medium in weight, the fabric is matte with no additional sheen or shine but the texture is very smooth and able to resist warping and washes exceptionally well.
Care: Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Iron on warm as needed.
Price is for one duvet.

I have loved Marimekko since the 60's when I first saw their fabric in San Francisco at shop in Ghiradelli Square. This bedding is true to their beautiful colors and shapes. The cotton feels good to sleep in and the colors warm my heart. The bedding fits well and is very durable.
Pros
Everything: colors, fit, feel of fabric, ability to wash/dry fabric easily
Cons
Nothing to dislike

I love my comforter

I was so happy to find the original Marimekko Maijo Isola at a price that was so reasonable. I still have scraps of the original Marimekko - to now have this wonderful design again is terrific. It's everything that original Marimekko's were in the design and bright colors.
Every time I curl up in bed, it feels wonderful to pull up this comforter around me. By the way, I have a queen-size bed - but for the summer I wanted a smaller, more manageable comforter, so I got the single-bed size - it works fine - just covers the top of the bed and that's what I wanted.
Pros
it's Marimekko!

Have been watching DIY and HGTV shows realizing my home decor is so "80's". By the time I got around to ordering, most places had sold out, but you SAVED me! (mod edit)! I love the bold colors, soft, quality feel of fabric, and construction details.
