Select Marimekko Silkkikuikka Bedding is on sale for a limited time.
Marimekko’s Silkkikuikka Bedding features a tri-colored pattern designed by Maija Isola in 1961. Inspired by the movements of the majestic Great Crested Grebe, this pattern is a reflection of these graceful birds and their watery habitat. Cool-hues and repeating wave-like lines gently suggest themes of water, plumage and flight. Sleep soundly while wrapped in the calming jewel-tones of this soft, 100% cotton percale bedding.Marimekko Care Instructions

About Percale:
A high-quality weave, percale has a noticeably tighter weave that allows for a higher thread count which makes the sheets softer to the touch. Medium in weight, the fabric is matte with no additional sheen or shine but the texture is very smooth and able to resist warping and washes exceptionally well.

I just received the comforter (as well as towels) in this pattern. It's very well made, fluffy, looks warm, and beautiful, but.....the colors are much darker than they were pictured on my computer monitor and my iPad. But since Marimekko makes such high-quality products, I'll probably keep the comforter (particularly since returning is such a pain....). I just wish the colors were a bit brighter!

This pattern is one of the few 100% percale duvet covers that was on sale so we bought the sheets and the duvets. They feel cool and smooth to the touch and I also like the percale weave for it's durability! Hope Marimekko would come out with more patterns of this very fine fabric.
