Q & A
A heavily populated print, the mini Papajo wave pattern was designed by Annika Rimala in the late 1960’s. Her aim was to encapsulate the peaceful roll of ocean waves and incorporate it into a small scale repeating design. Entranced by the optical illusive ability of the print, Marimekko designer Mika Piirainen covered his rectangular-shaped Ramiro handbag in the lively pattern. Comfortably resting on your shoulder, the bag’s interior is fully lined with two interior pockets.
