The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Unikko (Poppy), one of the most recognized Marimekko print designs in the world. To celebrate, Maija Isola's signature poppies are going back in time to when they first bloomed, as the vibrant red and white hues are inspired by the first Unikko color palette from the 1960s. When I saw that Marimekko came out with the Unikko anniversary edition I had to have them all! Every color available! Bought the Iso orange, red, blue and the yellow plus this Pikkuinen Unikko in red. It’s nice to have this pop of color greet you in the morning. My husband usually gets the mugs out before going to bed and I have the feeling he enjoys choosing the perfect pair for the next morning from our colorful collection.
