The sateen weaving process places more threads on the surface of the fabric instead of equally woven within the fabric which results in a weave that is extremely soft to the touch. Slightly less durable than other weaving techniques, the extra soft and luxurious nature of sateen fabrics require a bit more care during washing.
Care: Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Iron on warm as needed.

I absolutely love this Maimekko pattern. Unfortunately the sateen material is impossible to keep looking nice: it crushes too easily! Service and ordering with Finn Style was perfect: could not fault it. Product arrived very soon after ordering in great condition.
