The color is a beautiful cranberry red. Unfortunately the head is the same color as the body which makes it hard to see. In order to see the head I tied a piece of black and white checkerboard ribbon around its neck. The tail is sort of a dark greenish color. I placed it on a table with another bird I purchased and it looks nice. I’m disappointed as this bird was a lot of money.

I've collected Toikka glass birds for years from the time I worked in Helsinki often around Christmas. I also watch for sales like this one. I can't think of a nicer addition to my flock. Although I am running out of display room, I just had to order this as it is affiliated with MOG in Tacoma. I am From Washington state. The is a lovely burgundy red color with blue highlights on the tail--a jaunty tanager!!
