A stunning prize for the 2010 collection, Grass Eider's is a wonderful display of color, texture and form. The iittala Toikka Grass Eider features two layers of translucent glass to create its body. An olive green complete with a patterning of air bubbles forms the base layer and a striking rose glass is wrapped on top and extended through the tail. The Grass Eider’s stately look is completed with a playful beak and uncomplicated head constructed of a single layer of rose glass.The 2010 collection of birds by Oiva Toikka are individually mouth-blown by the master glassblowers at iittala’s glassworks in Nuutajärvi, Finland. Each handcrafted iittala Toikka Grass Eider carries the signature "O. Toikka Nuutajärvi" on its base to ensure its authenticity.
