Rooted in organic design, the iittala Sarjaton Metsä Mud Bowl was inspired by the immense forests of Finland. Finnish for "forest", the designer couple, Musuta, wanted to acknowledge the nourishment and serenity that these towering trees have offered to Finnish culture. The graphite-colored porcelain features white, hand-drawn tree illustrations that encircle the exterior of the bowl. The pattern celebrates imperfections and takes pride in avoiding computer-made prints. Use just one or build an entire collection as the lovely design and sturdy construction allow these bowls to be passed down from generation to generation.
