This new version of the classic Aalto shape makes a wonderful gift this season. It can be used to hold nuts and candies or be used for serving sauces or desserts; it also can stand alone as the glass art piece it is. Alvar Aalto created the design in 1936 and entered it in the Karhula-Iittala Glass Design Competition, in which it won first place. These are very classy and bigger than I expected. They will be great to use as small serving bowl for a party table but also will look cool just sitting out. So glad I made this purchase.
