Inspiration for the iittala Nappula Brass Short Candle Holder came to designer Matti Klenell at the Nuutarjärvi glass museum, where he was drawn to the distinctive design of an interestingly shaped chair. Moved by the unique piece of furniture, Klenell set out to create memorable pieces of his own. This is the shorter of the two candle holders in the Nappula collection, allowing it to hold even a tall candle and still serve as a centerpiece that won't obstruct your view. The sturdy brass has an attractive shiny finish, and a felt bottom rest further stabilizes the piece. I have Iittala Nappula candle holders in white and red, short and tall and love their simple yet refined design. The brass Nappula's are by far my favorite, though. The brass is very high quality giving them weight, and the shine is in keeping with the candle's purpose. I very much recommend these exquisite candle holders!
