A modern interpretation of an ornate goblet, the Maribowl is the result of a 1960's collaboration between iittala and Marimekko. It wasn't until Marimekko founder Armi Ratia used them in her garden parties, however, that they gained their immense popularity. Now, the Finnish-made objects are a favorite among fanatics to present candies, serve post-dinner parfaits or simply display as art. Iittala's 2014 color Rain adds a mysterious depth to the pressed glass, luring you to take a closer look at the stunning detail; what a wonderful start to a new collection or addition to a growing one.
First founded as a glassworks company in 1881, iittala is now a leading company in modern Finnish design producing a range of dinnerware, glassware and art pieces. You’d be hard-pressed to find a Finn or fan of Finnish design that doesn’t recognize the iittala logo, designed by Timo Sarpane... More iittala
Love these very sturdy bowl/dishes. The colors are beautiful and will make great gifts for friends and family.

I have Maribowls in several colors and am drawn to the greyed blue of Rain. As someone else commented, it blends well with the other blues and with the frosted white and clear as well.
