Chunky and substantial like most Iittala glass pieces. I own Kartio glasses in the lighter blue, which are more transparent. These look smoky, and go really well with Marimekko tableware in midnight blue colors. Personally, I like the sophisticated look of the grey, dark blue more than the acqus. Unfortunately, they do tend to chip on the rim, especially when stored in stacks.

These tumblers are perfect--beautiful rich color, smooth artful glass and perfect size. They feel great in hand and I will be thrilled to bring them out when serving guests a glass of water or tea. Loved that I got them on sale.
