The iittala frying pan is the same weight and style as its other matching pots. Sturdy and durable considering that the heat used on the stove is not oner med-high. The finish is retained and the frying pan has an added feature of an inner layer/coating for non-stick cooking. It is nor ceramic nor teflon. The seller (FinnStyle) should clarify. The box and enclosed booklet does not say specifically.
