Kalevala's Bird and Bell bracelet has a bird charm on one end and a bell (without a ringer) on the other.
It was thought that flying birds were in communion with the gods. They were believed to have knowledge to which only the gods were privy and which humans could only learn if they spoke the language of birds. Made in Finland.
This bracelet is slightly flexible, allowing a bit of bending or shaping.
Kalevala Jewelry seeks its inspiration from the unique Finnish and Scandinavian jewelry traditions throughout the ages. Most of the Kalevala Koru models are replicas of ancient Iron Age jewelry discovered by archaeologists. Read more about
I received this bracelet for my 18th birthday while an exchange student in Finland. I wore it daily for years. Eventually the rings supporting the charms wore through, and I lost the bell. It was easy to replace the charms. A couple years ago I ordered the same bracelet in silver. 30+ years I've worn it = timeless style!
Pros
cute, unique, historical, fun
Cons
the shiny coating eventually wears off, which changes the colour of the bronze. I don't really mind, but it's something to know.

This bracelet is simply beautiful in every way. The charms are a perfect size and the band can be formed to fit the wrist perfectly. It can be worn with casual or formal clothes, a great conversation piece.
Pros
Gorgeous piece of jewelry.
Cons
I have small wrists and I have a medium. I was able to shape the band so it fits my wrist very well, but if you have larger wrists you might want to compare measurements before buying.
