Mouth-blown from thick soda glass, the living walls make the shape of each bottle unique, personal, and perfectly imperfect. This glass art looks wonderful on its own or grouped with the other colors of the collection atop a cupboard, bar, or in open cabinetry. It could also serve water or serve as a vase for a single stem. The green color is more saturated at the edges and neck, allowing the glass to remain translucent and highlight the texture; consider it the fingerprint of the artist who made it. The pieces are designed by artist Tarmo Maaronen and mouth-blown by a small team of skilled blowers. Maaronen was born in 1963 in Urjala, Finland and has been blowing glass since 1979. He worked as a teacher of Scandinavian glass techniques from 1995-1997, until he founded his own glass studio Bianco Blu.
