The beloved birch Stool E60 by Alvar Aalto gets revamped in a warm honey stain with a light coat of veneer to allow the natural wood grain to shine through. This stackable stool was designed by Alvar Aalto during the years of 1932-33. He developed the bent L-shaped leg to achieve balance between timeless aesthetic and long-lasting functionality. This unique bending technology became the basis of his simple stools and was later patented and applied to his other furniture designs. On permanent collection at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the simplicity and innovative technology captured by this four-legged stool is nothing short of iconic.
