Legs of solid birch with a birch honeycomb core tabletop the 90b tables are of the highest natural quality. Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935, these contemporary circular tables have bent wood legs in Aalto's famous "L" shape or the optional HL1-leg with sturdy metal bracket. The famous "L" leg is created by bending birch laminates at a 90-degree angle, the legs are then attached directly to the underside of the table. This technique creates an extremely sturdy but lightweight support system that requires no additional framework. Aalto considered the L-leg his most important furniture innovation.
