Spring has sprung atop this limited-edition Moomins Day mug for 2024. Moominvalley is coming back to life as the characters come out of their winter hibernation, with melting snow, sunny skies and blooming flowers covering the landscape. One side features Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll, while the opposite side features Snufkin returning home from his winter travels. His arrival is a sign of Spring in Moominvalley, which is a joyful reunion for Moomintroll as he eagerly awaits his best friend's return all winter long.
Fittingly named "Spring," it is the third mug in the Moomin’s Day mug collection featuring an illustration of a particular season in Moominvalley. Illustrator Tove Slotte redrew Snufkin based on Tove Jansson's original 1933 aquarelle piece, while other elements are picked from Jansson's original comic stories: Moomin's Winter Follies (1955) and Moominland Midwinter. *Only available at select US retailers.
