This navy blue mug features Moominpappa sailing off on an overnight adventure. Tove Jansson created the Moomins in 1945, and they have been capturing hearts ever since. Tove Slotte created these illustrations, taking the classic comics from paper to porcelain beautifully.
As always, the Moomin mugs are crafted from porcelain and are microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. The new mugs have special details, like an identifying stamp on the bottom and attached gift tag with a sweet story about the design.
This one reads: "Moominpappa is boyish and adventurous, but still proud of being the head of the family. He enjoys deep thinking and always want to be there whenever something surprising happens. Writing is very important to Moominpappa."

I have slowly but surely been collecting all of the Moomin mugs. This Moominpappa mug is the prefect size for a small cup of coffee or tea. I also use these mugs for serving hot chocolate. The Moomin mugs are excellent quality and always make me smile.

This is a small mug from an American perspective, but I just love the artwork so much that I don't mind at all. I use it primarily for tea or orange juice in the morning. They complement the small Moomin plates that I also have. Not just for children, as I'm a grown adult and love this whole line of mugs!
