I currently have a no frills iPhone case that has saved my iPhone from damage on several occasions when I have accidently dropped it. How much protection does this case have or is it more cosmetic covering?

Marimekko iPhone Polycarbonate cases are geared more for cosmetic covering than high-quality protection, as only the corners of the case are covered. The Seireeni Silicone cases, on the other hand, provide more protection for the phone.
This pattern is my sister's favorite Marimekko print and I would love to buy this for her phone, but I have been told she now has an IPhone Battery Pack that she uses on her IPhone 4. Will this case still work?
