This magnificent bird stands tall, much larger than most Toikka Birds, with a majestic coloring of lustrous gold spots on a polished black and clear glass base. The Ladybird is a wonderful acknowledgment of professor Toikka’s immense contribution to iittala and glass design.The 2010 Anniversary Ladybird by Oiva Toikka is individually mouth-blown by the master glassblowers at iittala’s glassworks in Nuutajärvi, Finland. Each handcrafted iittala Toikka Ladybird carries the signature “O. Toikka Nuutajärvi 2010”on its base and is numbered “xxx/1000” to ensure its authenticity.
