Every year, Toikka creates a new bird for FinnFest, a festival celebrating all things Finnish. This year’s bird, the Common Redpoll, is a stunning creation, embodying all the strength and dignity of the small northern nation. Featuring a round deep pink body dotted with small air pockets, this piece is rich in decorative details. The wings are a transparent white with radiating lines of black creating a feathered effect. Upon its proud head sits a large purple beak, which contrasts beautifully with the rest of the piece.

The common redpoll is a limited edition bird, with only 1250 in production, so do not miss the opportunity to make one a part of your collection. Like all of Toikka’s birds, the Common Redpoll is mouth-blown at iittala’s Nuutajärvi glass factory.
