I think this is the largest serving bowl available in the Suomi pattern, and it's one that I've recently added to my Suomi set. It would be an ideal size for a large gathering of people, but it's also a great size to serve salad for a smaller group. I find the vertical sides to be especially functional when removing food from the bowl. Like most pieces in the Suomi line, the combination of round and square elements in the design is aesthetically pleasing.
