Santa Claus Lives in Finland
Everyone has heard the Santa lives in the North Pole, but did you know he is from Finland? His official office is in the town Rovaniemi in the province of Lapland, on the outskirts of the Arctic circle. While Santa only comes to visit us once a year, his village is open 365 days a year for all to visit. There, children and adults alike can enjoy a private chat with him amidst his quaint, cozy setting. You'll also find Santa's reindeer here, though Finns are no stranger to the enchanting creatures. There are as many reindeer as there are people in Finland, so it is become something of a Lapland icon.
If you can't make it out to visit Santa himself, you can always write to him. Santa Claus's post office receives hundreds of thousands of letter each year from 198 countries, and responds to each one with a legible address using a special stamp.
