To celebrate 90 years of Artek in 2025, Artek has joined forces with Finnish design house Marimekko for a limited collection of one-of-a-kind Aalto furniture. Merging Marimekko's art of printmaking and Artek's innovative wood bending technology, select Marimekko design classics are presented using marquetry atop iconic Alvar Aalto L-leg pieces. Here, the surface of Aalto's three-legged Table 90D from 1933 is decorated with Maija Isola's flowing Seireeni (siren) pattern. Inspired by the movement of water during Isola's travels to Greece, contrasting wood grains interact to bring the pattern to life. The table's round, low form makes it suitable for a variety of settings: by the sofa, bedside, or as a coffee table.
