Finnish entrepreneur Karl Fazer trained in confectionery across Europe, bringing his new knowledge and skills back to Finland. In 1891, Karl and his wife Berta opened a small French-Russian café on Kluuvikatu Street in Helsinki, Finland. High demand and popularity from the café led to Fazer opening a chocolate and candy factory in Helsinki to expand its product range. Iconic products like the Fazer “Blue” Bar (Karl Fazer Milk Chocolate) later emerged, easily recognized by its famous blue wrapper meant to symbolize Finnish nature.

Karl Fazer built the company on a strong commitment to craftsmanship, using high-quality ingredients and carefully preserved recipes to create a consistent and satisfying taste.
