The Loon, a bird indigenous to the colder regions of North America, is a reclusive and territorial bird, with distinctive striped markings. Oiva Toikka's Loon is appropriately rendered in glass form with a stolid personality and icy, blue striped plumage.

Measures: 6-1/2" L x 9-1/2" W (16.5 x 24cm)

On the base of each individualized Loon is acid-stamped the signature of the artist and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland.
