Determined to have a picnic even with a storm approaching, the Moomins set out on a helicopter ride through treacherous skies. It isn't long before the helicopter crashes, leaving them stranded on a desert island. Upon exploring their surroundings, the Moomins find out it is the land that their ancient ancestors hail from, and their distant relatives cause chaos once they are disturbed. A wrecked pirate ship holding the Mymble as hostage also comes to shore, and the entire group makes do with the salvaged items to persevere. With subtle satire that adults can enjoy yet problem-solving skills that young ones will gain, Moomin's Desert Island Book is the perfect read for the whole family.
