Designed by Maija Louekari, Marimekko’s Tilkkutäkki print is a patchwork quilt of vivid contrasting color and precise, clean lines. Specially created for spring's 2013 collection, Louekari continues her tradition of creating prints which honor handicraft traditions (such as 2010’s Lappuliisa and 2011’s Ryijy). Use this print in your home to make curtains, tabletop items, wall art or even custom clothing pieces.

I love the pattern, but was surprised to find that the weight is for home furnishing - I had hoped for dress-weight cotton. The main Marimekko website gives actual weight of fabrics, whereas Finnstyle gives only a description - 100% cotton. I could find no indication that this is a heavy fabric. I am disappointed that I am unable to use it as I had intended.
