I love this runner for its understated quality. Typically I am not drawn to geometric patterns but the low contrast of the gold lines against the natural fabric adds interest without being too stark or trendy. It looks terrific on a sideboard in my dining room. I bought the matching placemats as well.

Excellent table runner for layering

Initially, I was disappointed that the color of the fabric is very subdued. Fortunately, I realized that it would look great against a soft white and dark gold floral print table cloth by Finlayson which I purchased a couple of years ago from Finnstyle. The fabric is excellent quality and the subtlety of the colors allows the runner to work with many pieces. It's a great piece to use when layering.
